National Parks

From magnificent national parks to incredible wildlife experiences, the beautiful Central Coast of NSW will delight nature lovers. You can spot majestic whales, meet koalas in wildlife sanctuaries, visit the pelican capital and marvel at Elvis, a saltwater crocodile. There are lovely picnic areas, too.
In the southern Gosford area you’ll find Brisbane Water National Park, Bouddi National Park and Popran National Park. In an alluring rainforest near a pretty waterfall is the Somersby Falls picnic area, which has free barbecue facilities. In the northern Wyong area is Wyrrabalong National Park.
 

 
 

A 23-minute drive down the M1 will see you in the northern Sydney suburb of Hornsby, with the heart of Sydney’s CBD an easy 1.5-hour commute by train from Gosford Station
